"Drone is a musical and artistic collective formed by members who- the big majority of them- a part from leading their own personal projects participate in different ways in the composition and execution of other's members projects, giving way to an interesting mixture of sounds and philosophies, as giving birth to new and hybrid projects produced by the interaction of its components. Here is a detailed list of their several projects:
Emeth-The Human Noise Machine is formed by Kurajica (Bonny), César, Bruno and Felipe. César, Arístides and Felipe participate in GAF, Kurajica's personal project. Kurajica by the way it's a member of Tupperwear together with Arístides and Dani. The last two, together with Lucio, form Psicosoma. On the other hand, Lucio together with Adán works also on it's own musical ideas in Glimpse. Kurajica also does live shows with Af-gan, GAF's little sister band, where he frecuently gets a help from emeth-hnm members such as César and Felipe. Felipe, a part of being member of GAF is the member of Nonac too, a kind of satellite drone collective's band. Tomás works on his two personal projects, Abstract Groove and Postman, and sometimes participates in other band's remixes. Then we have Ekatsim, an itenerant band, which changes its members according to the situation. Jesús works in solitary in Un Hombre Solo, which seems to be obvious if we pay attention to his project's name. Javi, too, works alone in Resonance. However, all of this members have worked with each other at some point of the Drone Collective's life and those still unexplored interactions and combinations are probably about to come.
These are some of direct results of those interactions of its members, however, there many other members who form directly or indirectly part of Drone. Drone Collective also gives support to several other artistic expressions such as multimedia and plastic arts. And one of its main aims is to establish an active avant-garde scene on Canary Islands . A clear example: CROMA Festival, Multimedia Art and Advanced Music Meeting.

"Cosmic Polarity and Duphonic are 2 works of organic dub by abstract groove from tenerife, canary islands who works mainly with hardware and acustic guitar and basses that gives a tremnendous sound quality to his productions
Sounds and loops were sent to LOD and SILENCE who digitalized the work with programas like live and nueando with a powerfull analog sound bank
This is the first series of interactions with classic and modern artists to mix technique/manipulation flexibility with sounds quality passing the work from one to the other to see how sinergy can work with artists with similar tastes but with a very different background and production procedures/techniques" (From the Sinergy Networks' release page)

Sarah Goldfarb + LOD + Abstract Groove + Funzion + Marko Fuerstenberg - Absolut Funk EP

"Sinergy's debut of French Jean-Vince, publishing under Sarah Goldfarb artistic name, offers 2 original tracks & 4 remixes in this EP, perfectly defined by its title at the same time that becomes a great example of established connections between styles as electro as techno with one of its predecessor: funk style.
The original keeps its virtue in simple structures & deep effectiveness. Funk's a style that has always had very good results coming from french artists, like Jean-Vince shows with the perfect theme to seize the essence of the maxi. Absolute Funk can make you dance with its classic & intense rhythm base & fly with its ambient synths.
The other track of the french artist is twisted, direct and covered by quasi-african digital percussion and synthetic sound, getting into a more notorious electro tendency trough a trance rhythmic repetition.
LOD's revision of Absolute Funk, saves the original groove while adds as touches of suggestive tecno minimal as clicks shaped in electric sounds embedded in rhythm, welcoming on this way multiple sound registers that go on following one each other, so it reaches the perfect marriage between rhythm & interference.
Abstract Groove recreation is thicker and abstract than the other one, with some drops of "out toning" & rugged noise. Again he offers an amazing, acid & dark construction with burst basses close to the limit of saturation in which funk doubles up & falls into new shapes.
Funzion's remix is starred by spaced synths featuring a treated voice that contributes to give a sensual air to the track. All of this through a strong rhythm frame that comes into best electro, the one that catch you & can hypnotize through repetion & intensity.
German Marko Fuerstenberg shows the strongest face of the remixed track, producing under Detroit sound focus, always close to mystery & using sharp synths to transmit it, from clicky minimal tecno cleaf.
Summing up, it's a roller coaster of sounds & rhythmic spirals in which funk dominates but hands it stamp over other stylish experiences. The legacy of this style is still alive, at least from 21 st century artists. It's a perfect sample.

SMBP + Dilo + Skugge + Abstract Groove + Pablo Leon + Kimberly Klark + Roman Skok - Grace EP
Continue reading "SMBP + Dilo + Skugge + Abstract Groove + Pablo Leon + Kimberly Klark + Roman Skok - Grace EP"
"The new Sinergy release is a generous debut of italians SMBP, with three original tracks and six remixes signed by some of the artists from the label staff.
Grace, which gives name to the compilation is a sober abstract ambient piece, over its minimal side, with plenty sound textures developed to lisergic tech-dub structures.
One of those remixes is made by Johann Skugge, giving a mechanical & groovy vision. It's an excellent combination of loops that seem to be obteined from a fabric machine rush working. It's one of the dancefull tracks of the album. The canarian Abstract Groove honours his name making another remix of the track in which shows his well done artwork, combinig as abstract sounds as dancing structures, while offering a high level of creativity. That's why it's one of the most original tracks of the album.
Freak, the second SMBP theme, pays homage to the acid culture looked from minimal-techno focus nearing to new concepts of electronic. Dilo's remix is built in deep minimal clef, leaving experimentation and ambient in order to center in faster rhythms straightly driven to the dancefloor.
The third original track of the italians, called Double Pleased, is a progressive hypnosis based on extasis atmospheres, a deep bomb and moody pulses getting into a quasi-biological conversation.
In the smartest face of minimal-ambient is Roman Skok's remix showing a doble slope. One of the sides turns into mistery and dream meanwhile the other creates unquietness thruogh a bomb that can be easily interpretated such a tachycardic heart beat.
Pablo Leon's revision owns an industrial, thicket and acid range becoming a corrosive rhythmical spiral being the most experimental track of all of them and a piece that catches the attention like a heavy machine.
Circal's remix arriving from the mind of Kimberly Klark is a real spotty ambient constructed with sounds that could had it source in nature, basses in the edge of saturation and a twilight luminosity.
Globally, Grace is a minimal exercise of eclecticism.
