"Reminiscent Moods
Good old times of early dawn when we were on the edge to sniff up each new sound and to celebrate even the smallest party with new stuff. It always sounded strange, but nevertheless felt common. Basically things did not change much. The old companions disappeared somewhere down the road, new faces emerged. And for some of them their favourite electronic music style became part of their life attitude.
Christian Quast as well remained true to his roots consisting of his techno engines set-up over the years. With merry steadiness he appeared at most diverse places of this scene. He went from strength to strength, tested new tools, was involved into different projects and experimented a lot. Nevertheless there sounds out a certain traditional style, which is inherent to all his tracks. For sure, it is funny to speak about "old school", because this reminds of grandfathers attitude, who still holds the door for his sweetheart he is stick together for such a long time. But in fact this politeness defines exactly the attention, which one pays to the classical sounds, the traditional production methods and the time-honoured set-ups, and which one learned to appreciate early.
The four pieces of this EP are a technoide homage, a trip down memory lane, but at the present more than ever up-to-date. Valorised with newest achievements of technological development Christian Quast takes us along to the different stations of his expedition to old school dance music.
