"Almost a yaer ago we decided to start a new dutch netlabel, because of a number of reasons. The main reason was a lack of interest of most the labels. They're just interested in money, nothing more and nothing less! And as artists we're just interested in showing our work and the work for free to others to the world.
So after 24 releases this is the 25th. And it is a special one. We did take 2 tracks from the very first release on EAR-min. The one from Phil Baker. We did take Roomservice and Iselande and challenged producers, who did releases for us and guys we know from the netlabel-scene to make a remix.
The result is a very varieted album with tracks from minimal to techno and from ambient to experimental. There are remixes from Sascha Müller, Ambient Field, Basszüchter (from Oftengrüven records), Tioneb and Strial (from Edensonic), The Moderator, East Island, Igor Vlasov, Peninsula, ZZX, JR-1, Maas and more. We would like to thank every one who did cooperate with this release and supported us over the last Year!
Together with this 25th release we did a hugechange of the artwork. This all is done by R. Giessen aka "The R" (a graphic designer from our part of Holland), who also helped us with the restyling of the website, which will take place within a couple of weeks. "A brandnew EP from Maas. 5 dark underground technotracks from Maas, one of the founders of Eastern Recordings. All tracks created in the first 4 months of 2005. Dubby effects and techno-orientated stabs on a layer of strange or beautiful soundscapes. Maas likes to create an atmosfere that, when you close your eyes, it feels you are on a different planet.
You can clearly hear his favorite labels/artists like: Red Planet, UR, Robert Hood, Humana but also the more recent ones like LeCantin (Archipel), Marko Fuerstenberg and others.Maas like to create rich music in a expanded stereo enviroment. All tracks are created with Reason from Propellerheads. Only the track 'Minidream' witch was made wiht Ableton Live. Maas was exploring this softwaretool and came up with this track. This release is a special one.
Created in the past by Maas, Ronnie (the xxz man) and J-Rone aka Gladbeck.
This tracks are Acid and made with the original Roland TB303. Yes, we've got one in our studio.
Hard Acid for the headstrong among us. In the first place we jammin with the 303 with some beats and this release is the result of that jamminsession. 'Acid is over' many people saying, but we think 'Acid is never over'. It is for the real housejackers. And we think there are a lot in the world. Acid is a feeling, do you feel it too?" "East Island are Peter & Tonie van Loon, twinbrothers based in Almelo at the Eastside of the Netherelands. They produce a nice progressive melancholy melody. On the whole East Island provide the more endearing listens with their catching blend of elegant melancholy melodies and klumsy funky techno rhythms. On this release they combine electronic with a little accoustic elements. The 5e trakc 'NoiseBeat' is from Peter, the Soundengineer. Wierd sounds from a wierd man.
